What is the Cost of a Mammogram?

There is nothing more important to us than our health.  Our health is everything.  It allows us to do so many things throughout the day that we don’t even think of.  Since it’s so important to us, it is a good idea to get yearly checkups on everything.  Between blood work, prostate and mammogram checks, our blood pressure, BMI tests, and other tests out there, we can really get a good sense of what shape our body is in.

Like a lot of things, breast cancer can be very curable if caught early.  Between weekly self breast exams, and mammograms, you can save your life!  I can’t explain how important it is to get these done once you’ve reached your 40’s.

You may be a little nervous to go simply because you’re not sure what to expect and how much it will cost, but there is good news.  Mammograms are 100% pain free, and very simple to do!  Think of it as just an x-ray of your breast tissue.

As for the cost, Mammograms are usually covered by insurance companies simply because they are known as being “preventative”.  They will have to pay less than they would if you never got one and had something bad.

If you don’t have insurance, which you really should, it will run around $80 to $120.  As you can see, this is not much at all.  Although of course, it will range a little bit depending on things like where you live, how old you are, etc.

There is no price tag too high when it comes to your health.  If paying $80 means taking action to make sure you have the best health possible I urge you to pay that $80.  Not only will you find out what lies in your body, but you will also have a great sense of happiness if they test comes back negative!
